Are you living your dream job now? What has changed since
NESCAFE KICK-START?
I’m now in final semester in graphic design degree but I am still continuing what I’ve done since NESCAFÉ® KICK-START™.
The most recent project I’m doing with my friends is Fancomics for Devil May Cry game series and we’ll be participating in Comic Fiesta this December for the 4th time.
Yes! My life has changed of course! I met some people who are experts in the comic industry and I’m able to gain some knowledge and experience from them. Most of them didn’t believe that I’m a comic artist.. seriously~ (laugh)
What are the challenges?
There are many tough challenges, but toughest of all is how to sustain the people’s support for me and how to gain trust from other people, to convince them that my ideas are profitable.
What motivates you?
My close friends, my comic team and my family who always believe in what I’m doing and of course my fans who keep reading my comics and contributed many good ideas and suggestions.
If someone were to pursue what you are doing now, what advice will you give to that person?
Think before you act, never hesitate and never regret after you made up your mind on something. Always be healthy too so you can do all the tasks perfectly.
How has participating in NESCAFÉ® KICK-START™ help/affected you?
It broadened my mind. I learnt that there are so many teenagers out there who have many weird dreams to be achieved and NESCAFÉ® KICK-START™ is one of the ways to help them stand out.
As for me NESCAFÉ® KICK-START™ had popularized my comic team (CREST) somewhat so it’s easier for me to attract the right people who are interested in my current and future projects.
What did you learn from NESCAFÉ® KICK-START™?
It’s hard to find friends that can always be with you all the time no matter what. Joining NESCAFÉ® KICK-START™ has opened my eyes to get know a little deeper about people who are close to me.
Trust, courage, compassion, time and money… big motivations that I can get through the whole process in NESCAFÉ® KICK-START™ tasks..
