Based on our research, there are only few private held company (less than 10) that utilizing the internet for education purposes for example EduBestari, Intrique.cc, Home Tuition Care, Cikgu2u, YTL E Learning but we are much different from most of them such as the concept, education niche that we serve that are more focus to online entrepreneurship, their fees are slightly higher, the usage of technology to deliver the content is still low (like video, audio, blog and such that we use).
Others (less than 50) are done by public organization such as MPC, Ministry of Information, UNIMAS, and IIUM
We charge RM50 for one time lifetime registration to our online portal and RM35 per month for continuous access to our online tools and virtual learning. This price is very low compare to what we deliver to our customers, plus by giving them this small amount upfront we can support more customers for the benefits of our long term business
If I can win the grand price of RM10, 000 I will spend 60% of the equity for marketing purposes, 30% for operation cost and 10% as saving for asset allocation.
If we want to make this a grand exposure to the market and make this a new revolution for the new generation in their knowledge as well as financial aspect we obviously need to take a bigger step. This eventually can help to support our nation economy by the emerging of a lot more home based business owners.
To achieve what I consider my dream business, it actually needs a lot more leverage in terms of money and effort. Although we can provide our customers the education through online platform but it is a lot better if we can provide the facility for our local students.
This facility is important to give the hands on support for people who really need the guides (some people really need someone guiding them hand by hand) and for some who have no computer at home especially if they come from village etc.
The facility can contribute a lot more in terms of student participation as they have physical class to go every week, hands on supports from the part time / full time trainer at the training center and no to forget the viral marketing message that the students deliver as they share with their friends and family the experience they had at our training center.
For marketing purpose, we can hire well-trained salesperson and trainers to promote our products and services while at the same time give knowledge based support to all our prospects. We will also use the media such as the newspaper, press releases, magazines, radio spot, road shows and the internet to attract more quality leads to our business. We realize that every business is in marketing business so we need to focus more on to generating leads and to convert those leads into a high quality paying customers.
For operation plan, we can outsource freelancers to do the crucial works especially web design/development and graphic design. We can also hire unlimited trainers into our network as our business grows to support all our customers.
For this business to expand nationwide, the start up capital that can really help is around RM150, 000. RM50,000 is for the full setup of one training facility locally that can hold 10-20 computers, one presentation room, rest room and the rest is divided equally like above for marketing plan, operation plan and asset allocation.
From that we can start to generate as much profit from the business and invest it to extend our business facility in every main city nationwide while exposing more of our business to all Malaysian and to do better and long term business.
